Throughout my life I have been an artist, and gradually taken an interest for healing in its many forms. As a result, I have developed my artistic skills, as well as learning about aromatherapy, reflexology, crystal healing and shamanic skills. I began my story by studying furniture design at Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic in 1975, obtaining a BA Hons degree. I then went to London, working as a textile design assistant, later as a potter in Scotland and northern England. During a period between jobs, I began to start a series of paintings, trying to depict the spirit of a place, which evolved into the subtle energies or meditative imagery of various sites, including trees, skies and ancient sites. Since then, I continued in a variety of jobs, pottery work, office and care work until I became married and had a son in 1995. The inspiration continued as I began to work on producing lots of paintings of ancient sites, exhibiting my art work in Cumbria, the south west, Anglesey and Northumbria. This was all leading towards producing books eventually, and now beginning to be published.
